We ARE loving the new countertops and I will send you some photos... I was waiting till the backsplash was done.... The holidays and Thanksgiving snow kind of slowed us down but hopefully we will have them done in the next month or so. Really, you and Ben have been great to work with and I swear this is fastest design (and maybe best) decision we have ever made.

I live in Fresno where there is very little soapstone available. Most people in the area want granite, which is exactly why we did not want it. My soapstone countertops are now three years old and I continue to receive compliments on their appearance. I have been told that the slab, with its dramatic vein, stands on its own as a piece of artwork. My particular stone works well with the contemporary decor.

I am just as pleased with the stone's functionality as it does not stain and is resistant to high heat. I take pans directly from the stove to the countertop. I have even ironed large pieces of fabric on it. Any scuffing is easily rubbed away with an oiled cloth.

During the purchasing and installation process theTeresina Soapstone staff conducted themselves in a professional manner. They returned phone calls promptly, were willing to work with my scheduling needs, and completed the work in a timely manner.

The stone is amazing. I recently had Teresina install soapstone for an outdoor BBQ and words can not explain how impressed I am. Rod matched the stone sections perfectly.
